Seattle Spanish Baby Fashion Week… Got nothing on NYC, London or Milan.

When I had my daughter these Giggle Better Basics became my goto onesie. I’ve since then given them as baby gifts because they are truly a new born must have. As I prepare for number two you better believe I’m stocking up.

    Today in micro fashion.

Full-size reissue of the NYCTA Graphics Standards Manual.

After 10+ yrs, 7 homes and 4 states I finally got an underwater camera developed. Lost treasures.

View for the week. NYC I miss you dearly. (at Trump SoHo New York)

    Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
    They think I’m telling lies.
    I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
    The span of my hips,
    The stride of my step,
    The curl of my lips.
    I’m a woman
    Phenomenally.
    Phenomenal woman,
    That’s me.

    I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
    And to a man,
    The fellows stand or
    Fall down on their knees.
    Then they swarm around me,
    A hive of honey bees.
    I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
    The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
    I’m a woman
    Phenomenally.
    Phenomenal woman,
    That’s me.

    Men themselves have wondered
    What they see in me.
    They try so much
    But they can’t touch
    My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can’t see.
    I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
    The sun of my smile,
    The ride of my breasts,
    The grace of my style.
    I’m a woman

    Phenomenally.
    Phenomenal woman,
    That’s me.

    Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
    When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
    I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
    The bend of my hair,
    the palm of my hand,
    The need of my care,
    ‘Cause I’m a woman
    Phenomenally.
    Phenomenal woman,
    That’s me.

    Maya Angelou.
    RIP

When I was a kid my mom made one of these for each of her kids. We played, watched movies and slept on these things for 20+ years at my parents house. Now this kid is lucky to have her very own. Thanks Mom!

I’m not sure who said that the first 3 months of motherhood are really the 4th trimester of pregnancy. They are absolutely right. I would also argue that really, the first year of motherhood is more recovery than it is anything else. Learning how to cope with a postpartum body, mind, and soul…

I really wish there was a date stamp on the map satellite images. Looked up my parents house and A. I was visiting (my car in the driveway) and B. I was sunning myself at the pool. Only time this could have been was this last August when I was in Seattle. Strange and cool.

    Date night…. good night! #kingsofleon
